Svea has been playing guitar since the age of 10. She learned ragtime and blues finger picking from one teacher around the age of 13, and from wearing out grooves on records. "I've written a few songs over the years, but what really inspires me is discovering a great song, and then working my own style into it. I've been stealing licks off of records for 30 years, and haven't been arrested yet!!"
